KRÜSS measuring results presented at CESIO 2004, the World Surfactant Congress in Berlin

Dr. Lothar Moehle, from Messrs. Kolb Distribution Ltd., presented the results of his cooperation with KRÜSS GmbH at the 6th World Surfactant Congress.
The paper on "Dynamic properties of surfactants - the basis for understanding their industrial use" was received with great interest. Results were presented that had been obtained using the Processor Tensiometer K100 and Bubble Pressure Tensiometer BP2 on surfactant systems at Messrs. Dr. W. Kolb AG. Imbentin-type surfactants have been characterized as regards to their CMC, surface excess concentration, the surface area per molecule at equilibrium, free adsorption enthalpy, dynamic behavior in a surface age range of 5 to 10 000 milliseconds and their diffusion constants.

Expanded Service for the south of France:
KRÜSS’ new representative introduces himself

Dear Customers,
I am Spyridon Kranias, and have been a KRÜSS team member for little more than a year. My duties are several: I am in charge of developing sales contacts in the south of France and offering technical support to customers in France and the United Kingdom. To better achieve this goal, KRÜSS and I have located my office in Lyon.

Most of my preparatory studies for the university were completed in Paris, my birthplace. I entered the University of Paris VI and completed my PhD work in 2000 at the Atomic Energy Commission, Saclay. There I studied modelling of interactions between a monomer and a polarized metallic surface.

From 2000 to 2002 I completed postdoctoral research for Totalfinaelf, at University of Paris XI, and then was a research engineer at the Institut Français du Pétrole at Rueil Malmaison. I worked on molecular simulation fields to predict thermodynamic properties of industrial interest.
The experience and knowledge obtained in my research work have made possible an understanding of the importance of interactions between molecules at interfaces.

Having been a research engineer before joining KRÜSS was an excellent preparation to understand the needs of scientists and help them solve their problems.

Needless to say, I am happy to be able to develop a close working relationship with all of you!

Yours sincerely, Spyridon Kranias
