Hail and farewell – customer service change in the North

Whenever there is a change of colleagues, particularly when it takes place on good terms, sorrow and joy are always close together. Sorrow for the end of a long, hearty and team-oriented cooperation, but joy for the addition of a new colleague, who will quickly find his own place at Krüss.

This change also means a change for you, as it concerns the support and advice that you receive. Let us then take our leave of Dr. Jörg Ulrich Zilles together and become acquainted with his successor for customer service in the north, Gregor Schwinn.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
From now on I am no longer your customer support contact person. The many years of cooperation with you has ensured that my work has been both varied and demanding and introduced me to new ideas and aspects on a day-to-day basis.

As a KRÜSS customer I would therefore like to thank you personally for the long and fruitful cooperation.

I know that the proverbial KRÜSS provision of customer support and advice is in good hands with my successor, Gregor Schwinn. This is why you will continue to find that KRÜSS is the most competent partner worldwide for surface analysis problems.

Best regards,
Dr. Jörg Ulrich Zilles

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Since the middle of April I have been your new customer support contact person for North Germany and Scandinavia and I would now like to introduce myself.

In 1992 I started to study chemistry in Freiburg im Breisgau. My interest in solid and crystalline materials caused me to switch to studying mineralogy, crystallography and materials science after 2 years, when I was able to utilize the interdisciplinary character of this course of study and commit myself to both geoscience and applied materials science. In 2000 I went to the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration in Munich as a freshly graduated Diploma Mineralogist in order to carry out applied R&D in the fascinating field of semiconductor technology. My need to obtain a doctorate took me to the Institute for Mineralogy at the University of Tübingen a good year later, where I primarily occupied myself for almost three years with inorganic trace analysis.

In addition to the scientific challenge, I am interested in having a good businesslike contact with other people. This is why I am happy that, after my odyssey through southern Germany, I have finally landed in the high north at KRÜSS in Hamburg where great importance is given to customer support and personal contact.

Right from the very start both the unusually wide range of customers using our instruments and the collegial, almost informal atmosphere at KRÜSS fascinated me. I am particularly looking forward to working out custom-made answers to your problems and in continuing to provide the proverbial KRÜSS intensive customer support. Above all, I am looking forward to meeting you personally in the near future.

Best regards,
Gregor Schwinn
