Successful Seminars

The "KRÜSS-Seminar-Phase 2004" we talked about in our last issue was a huge success! Once again we have reached many users of our instruments world-wide. We welcomed more than 250 participants in 10 seminars in Europe and Asia.
The participants benefited highly from the expertise of our invited and our KRÜSS speakers. The same is true for ourselves. The numerous tasks and applications which our participants are confronted with every were discussed in depths with us during the seminars. From this we learn tremendously how to further develop our products, ensuring that our customers find a KRÜSS solution to their problem at hand.
We would like to thank all of you who participated in our seminars and hope that you have gained from it and enjoyed it as much as we did.
How the West was Won

I'd like to introduce myself as the new Western Sales Manager for KRÜSS USA. I recently joined the team and am very happy to continue in the exciting field of surface chemistry.
After graduating from college, I spent the first 10 years of my career in the field of Mechanical Engineering, working for Martin Marietta designing electronic support equipment for F15 aircraft and then working for Allied Signal designing solid state laser optical resonators which began my interest in optics. I then changed my career path by joining a company that produced a manual Contact Angle Goniometer. For the past 10 years I developed the instrument into a fully automatic image analysis system and sold the system worldwide.
My experience working with scientists of all industries was very educational and bringing that knowledge to my position with KRÜSS has been incredible. Having the support of such a highly competent group of associates in Hamburg (Germany), Paris (France) and Matthews (North Carolina, USA) has made my transition very enjoyable.
As a new member of KRÜSS I look forward to supporting your applications with a line of products that are superior in the field and continue to incorporate new features as technology progresses. I also look forward to all of the new business relationships to come as the importance of surface science in industry is discovered.
Best regards,
Kelly O'Hara
