The New LabDesk Software is ready for you -
Ask for your update CD !
Already announced in our last newsletter, it is now ready to be sent out: the new version 3.1 of our universal tensiometer software LabDesk™. Are you already working successfully with LabDesk ? Then you will be pleased about the additional features as well as some time saving simplifications.
Our developers, for example, put some work into the interfacial tension measurement with the KRÜSS K100 Tensiometer. The rod, particularly suitable for small sample volume, can now also be used for interfacial tension. Also, we have optimized the measuring procedure for all interfacial tension measurements. The tare of the sample in the light phase can be stored and used for all following measurements so that one step, previously necessary, can now be omitted.
KRÜSS responds to clients’ suggestions: due to multiple requests, you now have the possibility to eliminate outliers from the graphic display and from evaluations only without, of course, deleting them, since this would be contrary to the GLP-principles which KRÜSS is committed. In addition, you may comment on each single measuring point – for example the reason it is an outlier. Labdesk provides a fast and simple access to the data base. Data base elements, depending on one or more measurements, are now hierarchically integrated. An example is the evaluation of surface energy from several contact angle measurements.
Self-defined measuring report templates make your work faster: LabDesk stores the last used template for each measuring method and recalls it automatically.
Not only adding to aesthetics but also to a more convenient evaluation of a measurement, the automatic prolongation of regression lines to the charted axis is now available. This feature can be switched on or off as required.
Current research results have contributed to an important innovation in the contact angle add-in. For measurements of contact angle, it was necessary previously for the sample to have identical characteristics on all sides. With LabDesk 3.1, it is now possible to carry out dynamic contact angle measurements with the tensiometer K100 on samples that are different on each side.
Do you have a specific measuring requirement which exceeds the LabDesk standard methods? For example elongation tests on fibres? Describe your demands and we will establish a script tailored to meet your individual needs. The whole pallet of functions of the standard software package is at your disposal for your “specific product” and will not require a new installation.
If you have purchased LabDesk later than April 1, 2004, you will get the update for free. Please use the following form: Update for free We are now waiting for your request. Purchasing the upgrade is also worth while, as can be seen from the features described above.

You are not at all familiar with LabDesk? We will be pleased to inform you about the software and our tensiometers and upon request send you a free of charge demo-CD.We look forward to hearing from you.
DSA3 software: Now available
Finally the first release of the fully revised successor of our powerful DSA1 software is ready for shipment. The new DSA3 offers you a wide range of new features, for example a new “wizard” is available which helps to generate and edit templates. The software also features more flexible handling of measuring reports, full control of the chart design, and many more additions. With the help of DSA3, fully automatic measuring procedures are programmable. Even automatic calculation of more than one drop on your sample is possible. The DSA3 software supports at the moment only the DSA100 instrument line.
