With 167 to 134 exhibitors, Chinese and German enterprises had the lion's share of stands at the Achemasia 2004 in Bejing- compared with the year 2001, that's a 44% increase for China. The rising numbers indicate an expanding degree of co-operation but also a higher need for bilateral research and services in the chemical field.

"The thoroughfare leading to nine provinces" - this is what Wuhan, capitol of the Hubei province, is called in China. There, the College of Chemistry and Molecular Science of the Wuhan University and KRÜSS have founded a co-operation which dedicates itself to surface and colloid science. Their work will focus not only on research but also on scientific advice for customers in industry. Prof. Jinfeng Dong, who is decisively responsible for the state of the art surface and colloid science section of the college, lead the inauguration of the new partnership.

During the ceremony Dr. Ohlerich, Marketing and Sales Manager of KRÜSS GmbH, and Prof. Zhonghua Wang of Wuhan University unveiled a donation to the surface chemistry lab, a DSA100 Contact Angle Measuring System. The end of the ceremony was also the outset for scientific work: the first joint seminar on "Surface Chemistry and its Related Measuring Techniques" at Wuhan University, organized by KRÜSS' exclusive representation in China, DKSH (Siber Hegner), and the college of Chemistry and Molecular Science of Wuhan UniversitySH (Siber Hegner).

Serviço is Portuguese and means, as one suggests - service. As international as the word itself is the spirit of serving the customer. With our merchants Dias de Sousa S.A. for Portugal and the Láctea corporation for Brazil, our customers in both countries are finally attended to personally, expertly and on the spot for the first time.

Our traders picked up all the knowledge necessary for scientific consulting and operating KRÜSS instruments directly while training in Hamburg. In the course of this visit they met two colleagues from our exclusive representation in Singapore, Intermass Fischer: Beverly Sim who absolved her first training at KRÜSS while her fellow kept herself informed about our new products.
