Since July 2006 Dr. Thomas Rauch has been management assistant at KRÜSS and from 2007 onward he will be Managing Director together with Cornelius Weser.

“I am always friendly” he says and shows a big grin in the morning coffee break. Thomas Rauch has a charming personality and has brought a refreshing humor with him. But to think that Thomas Rauch is not fully serious in his work would be a great mistake.

Thomas Rauch puts high demands and targets on both himself and the quality of his work. And the experienced marketer is used to responsibility. After six years’ management of a research lab at the Heart Center Leipzig he was responsible for marketing of life-saving technical medical products – at the end he had a range of more than 800 products in the field of cardiac surgery and perfusion under his responsibility.

To take over business management responsibilities at this time is just a logical step. But why with KRÜSS? “I have been familiar with the KRÜSS name and the quality of its instruments since I was at university” said the doctorate chemist, who after his studies looked after a marketing region for a rheometer manufacturer. For all his knowledge of the market Thomas Rauch has never understood himself to be just a turnover generator, selling everything to everybody. “KRÜSS looks after customer contact and delivers quality – both of which will be my ambition at KRÜSS”.

A heart for the job – that is the secret behind his joyful nature. You can see it in the way his eyes light up when he talks about cardiac surgery. Or about his family with a 12-year-old daughter and an almost grown-up son. The enthusiastic sailor and windsurfer is particularly thankful to be able to put down his family roots again in the port city of Hamburg. The KRÜSS GmbH Hamburg team is looking forward to a hearty cooperation with Thomas Rauch in future days.

Our new marketing specialist, Dr. Martin Kirchner, introduces himself.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to introduce myself as a new member of the KRÜSS team. My name is Martin Kirchner; since May 2006 I have reinforced the KRÜSS marketing team and have looked after customers and exclusive dealers abroad (not in the USA or Canada) as well as in southern and eastern Europe.

My colleagues at KRÜSS and the beautiful city of Hamburg have made my introduction to my new working surroundings easy – I am also used to having to change my location frequently. I studied chemistry in Stuttgart and Jena and latterly in Dresden, but I have also been able to gather foreign experience at the University of Montpellier. Surface and interfacial science was one of my special subjects in my main course of study.

The exchange of knowledge and experience has always been important for me. My work at KRÜSS fulfills my desire to pass on my know-how to customers throughout the world and to ensure good and long-lasting contacts with them.

When I am not on my travels my work is centered on new applications for our measuring techniques. I would be pleased to answer your questions and support you in new processes and applications.
