For a long-term partnership

Tensiometry then and now - K8600 and EasyDyne

The attitude of a company toward sustainability and investment security can be recognized by its performance: on request KRÜSS can still repair and service older instruments that have long since been replaced on the market by more modern models.

Older KRÜSS instruments such as the Tensiometer K8600 now decorate the KRÜSS Museum in our headquarters in Hamburg as exhibits. However, for some customers this instrument, with its old-fashioned charm, is not an antiquity but a laboratory instrument that is still used for daily work – a good example of how our instruments are designed for long-term use.

Our customers benefit from the special position that KRÜSS has established for itself on the market: as one of the oldest suppliers in the branch we have a well-documented know-how covering a development period of several decades. In addition, we manufacture a large part of our instruments in-house, so that we have the competence for service and repair in our own premises.

On average, each year KRÜSS receives four enquiries and supplies spare parts for instruments delivered to customers 30-40 years ago. Of course, such instruments no longer meet modern demands concerning operating convenience and accuracy, and also no longer satisfy GLP-criteria, while the economic viability of repairing such old models can be called into question. But, if a customer should request it, we can bring to mind all our knowledge of the older models and repair them in most cases.

We are convinced that the long working life and serviceability of KRÜSS instruments make us into long-terms partners of our customers and for this reason it is worthwhile concentrating on longevity for our new instruments.
