Analytica Asia in Shanghai and LABOREXPO in Prague

In the fair season of Fall 2006 KRÜSS was present at two important international events. At the Analytica in Shanghai from September 19 to 21, 2006 we appeared together with SiberHegner, our local exclusive distributor, among the mainly Chinese exhibitors. The vast majority of the fair visitors regarded the current market situation as “excellent to good”, and even more expect a continuing positive development. Among the KRÜSS exhibits the DSA100 Contact Angle Measuring Instrument in particular met with great interest.

At the LABOREXPO in Prague from October 4 to 5, the visitors to our stand, who were mainly from Eastern Europe, were chiefly impressed by the versatility of the K100 Tensiometer. In this case Marek Černík (Uni-Export Instruments), our Czech partner, looked after the organization of the KRÜSS fair appearance.

Dagmar Dohmen, Office Manager in our office in Matthews/USA, introduces herself.

Dear KRÜSS Customers,

After the short familiarization period as Office Manager of our office in Matthews I would like to introduce myself personally to you.

My name is Dagmar Dohmen and I have been living for a year in Charlotte, North Carolina together with my husband and daughter. I was born and grew up in the German town of Heinsberg near the Dutch border. After my business and management economics studies at the Rheinisch-Westfälisch Technische Hochschule in Aachen my first position was as a management assistant and later as the marketing manager for a firm of consultants in Ratingen near Düsseldorf. After the birth of my daughter and until our move to the States I managed my own marketing and Internet agency.

As Office Manager at KRÜSS USA I record all customer inquiries and look after their financial processing. Internally I organize the wages and salaries statements and am responsible for all staff management and fiscal questions.

In my leisure time, which I am happy to spend together with my husband and daughter, I am an enthusiastic tennis player, like to go running and enjoy the wonders of nature when wandering.

DSA software in state-owned TV

Our DSA1 Software recently achieved recognition in the ARD program “Plusminus”. The program produced by SR on November 28, 2006 brought a critical report on the lack of effectiveness of some products with the claim “Nano”. In addition to microscopic studies and cleaning and load tests, the Institute for New Materials in Saarbrücken also demonstrated contact angle measurements on surfaces that had been given a “nano”-coating. Although in principle improved hydrophobic behavior could be demonstrated in many cases, the required cleaning effect by the drops simply pearling off was frequently not observed. Consumer protection groups are now demanding a quality seal for “nano” products; this is also of interest to the manufacturers of effective “nano” products, according to the voice of the speaker.
