Packaging makes the product

KRÜSS at the K2007 in Düsseldorf
"With a turnover plus of 11 percent, plastic packaging has clearly held on to its leading market position in comparison to other packaging agents" - these figures were presented at the K 2007 by the Plastic Industrial Packaging Association (Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen - IK).
This upward trend was also noticeable on our fair booth: the discussions were mostly about packaging. Films were to be printed and the wetting and adhesive behavior of different components optimized. Our visitors informed themselves about possible ways of controlling the quality of surface modifications on plastics.
We are frequently asked whether it is possible to check the quality immediately after the modification without interrupting the production process or destroying the sample. In this respect our visitors were particularly interested in MobileDrop, the flexible contact angle measuring system.
This instrument can be operated from a notebook and makes on-site measurements. Thanks to its very small base area, even measurements in hollow cavities or places that are difficult to access present no problems. It also masters vertical samples, such as shower cabins or window panes.
KRÜSS Seminars Worldwide
Popular Surface Science Symposia
Talks given by prominent guest speakers and experienced KRÜSS employees form part of the fixed program of our annual seminars – in addition to a comprehensive practical introduction to the measuring techniques of our range of products. This is where offers meet demands: theoretical and practical interests are balanced in participant feedback.
In addition to the 2- and 4-day events held in Germany, we issue annual invitations to training courses held in Austria, Switzerland, France, England and the USA. We also organize international specialist seminars in cooperation with our agents – recently in Beijing, Shanghai, Belgium and in the Netherlands.
KRÜSS Seminars make a contribution to what we call our “added value” for customers – services that cover more than just selling instruments. And not only for our customers: anyone who wishes to make use of our know-how is welcome.
