The K11 from KRÜSS has established itself in test laboratories throughout the world as a reliable tensiometer. In the new model K11MK3 KRÜSS has combined the stand-alone philosophy of the K11 with design and functional elements of the high-end instrument K100.
The K11MK3 is the expert for automatic interfacial and surface tension measurements with the ring and plate methods. The resulting values for the surface and interfacial tension are shown directly on the display, printed out as an option or transmitted to the data-logger module of the LabDesk tensiometer software. Lamella tear-off measurements (e.g. for measurements to ASTM D971) and the determination of liquid density are incorporated.
Among the new features is the safe and quick measuring body attachment with a simple plug-in connection and automatic balance clamp. The stainless steel execution makes the instrument more robust.
The improved force measurement system, which increases the resolution from 0.1 mN/m to 0.01 mN/m, is particularly beneficial. In this way smaller sample volumes can be measured with the rod method, for which high-resolution force measurements are essential.

Small steps as an art form

- Manual Micro Positioning x/y-stage
PS3244 is the finely adjustable sample table for horizontal sample positioning with EasyDrop
The standard version of EasyDrop is equipped with a simple lifting table with which the height of the sample surface can be adjusted. In the horizontal axis the sample is simply positioned by hand.
From now on the lifting table can be combined with the manual micro-positioning table PS3244; this allows the sample to be positioned horizontally in the X and Y directions to an accuracy of 10 µm. The table is suitable for sample sizes up to 100x100 mm and allows placement within a movement range of 30x50 mm.
PS3244 can also be used with the micro-dosing system of the DSA100.

New KRÜSS-Tensiometer celebrates the premiere at ACHEMA 2009
You may know just how effective your surfactant is. But do you also know how quick it is?
The interfacial tension value is often a question of time and speed. The DVT50 measures the dynamic interfacial tension as a function of the interface age and provides important information about the adsorption kinetics of surface-active substances.
Thanks to its wide measuring range from 100 mN/m down to 0.1 mN/m and the possibility of thermostatting the liquid phases the instrument is suitable for a wide range of applications. Very simple handling during filling and cleaning as well as software control with programmed measuring sequences ensure a smooth measurement procedure with a high sample throughput.
